Thank you so much for checking out my website. It’s a labor of love that has taken many switchbacks since I started this adventure. Some of you OG’s may recognize me better as “Design Roulette” which is the parent company to Dugan Hat Co. The original name will always hold a special place as it was my very first stab at owning a business and it allowed me to grow Dugan Hat Co to what it is today.
The Hats
Why Human Names? While I’m a super creative person, coming up with a fancy name for each hat is not something I’m good at. Since I bring life to these hats, figured I should name them as if they were my children - so human names it is!!!
Dugan Hat Company official hats are made of either wool blended felt, rabbit fur felt, or beaver felt. These hats are built, shaped, and customized 100% by me.
Upcycled Hats are pre-made hats that I purchase from various companies and add my own flare of burned, painted, embroidered, or beaded artwork.
More Than Just a Hat Company!
Hatbands are hand made from leather, hides, denim, or upcycled from belts I find on my shopping adventures. Great way for me to express some artistic designs without being permanently affixed to a hat.
Upcycled Clothing are articles of clothing that I purchase and again, add my own flare. Clothing is and will always be my first love of the fashion world (aside from a very close second of boots!) I do make my own clothes every now and then, so stay tuned for Dugan Hat Co official clothing.
Accessories is honestly what started it all. I created Design Roulette because my hubby’s grandmother inspired me to start making beaded earrings. She was a very gifted bead weaver, and I used her earrings to teach myself the art. Started out as a stress relieving hobby, saw a niche market for beaded earrings, and voila! Along came Design Roulette. This section will consist of ALL things you could possibly think of to accessorize your look.
I hope you enjoy my art as much as I do! Please check out the “Find Me!” page to see what events I have lined up for the year so you can swing by to see and purchase these art pieces in person.
